Running away: A Poem

We watched the moving clouds
Like living in an ancient town
We played with the music loud
Like searching for the melody down

We knew when the branches bowed
Like playing with the leaves above
We took the stars with our vow
Like making a town below

They told we can no more play
But you came by everyday
They made the rules and prayed
Thinking we will stay away

We laughed and stayed at bay
Like the wind and shore at play
We looked at the stars that stayed
Then they knew we ran away

They thought they had won no pay
But they were injured we say
They thought we will slay
But we made the stars turn and play
