Hope (Hopeless): A Poem

All my wishes would come true see
Look there Look here now to free
I am walking slowly don’t you see
My dreams My dreams waiting for me

Look now Look now far in sight
I can’t see you in my fright
My love and sorrows dark in light
I watch they watch moon in night

Hear me They see I can’t save
Nobody Nobody looking brave
I hope they hope life is strange
Maybe Maybe life would change

Before I hoped to dance in tune
Life it turned falling too soon
Now my only solace in this gloom
Is I still watch the roses bloom

New life : A poem

Words words have you left me
Hope hope I do not see
Wind wind by the sea
Please please come to me

World world have you gone
Time time now have flown
Walk walk till the zone
Wish wish they do groan

Where where I don’t see
Prize prize promised to me
There there I now see
Land land meant to be

Hand hand reached to see
Lake lake by the tree
Smile smile my child in glee
She she is now free

The Readers Problem Book Tag

Hi there everyone! I am Jan and today I am going to do a book tag. Book tags are always so wonderful to do. Today I will be doing the reader’s problems book tag which I found on Rab’s bookish planet. Hope you enjoy!

1. You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

I would first want those books that I am most excited about then after that, maybe I can use some app/websites available to arrange all those books in alphabetical order. I have seen this work very well in libraries. I could start reading from the A section and finish reading when I land on the last book on Z section.

2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

That would depend entirely on my mood at that time. If I am in a really good mood I would surely complete it or if I am in a bad mood I would likely quit.

3. The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

I would surely catch up if my schedule is not busy in the coming days. If I have free time I would catch up by spending all my time for reading.

4. The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

Oh honestly I would not mind it that much, but if I could I would try to exchange my book for another book that do match the other books. If it isn’t available I don’t think I would be sad about that because for me stories matter more than covers (but I do love matching covers)

5. Everyone and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

I don’t like to talk much about books that I don’t like because I know how much hardwork every author must have put in behind every completed book out here. The most I could do is write a not-so-good review about it in some online platform like goodreads or amazon kindle but I always make sure to appreciate the good things even in a book I do not like.

6. You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

I would try not to cry in every way I can. Maybe I would stop reading the book for a while and would continue only after I am away from public eyes.

7. A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!!??

I would only chose to read the sequel if I have loved the prior book that much. Maybe if I feel like it I would surely re- read the previous book before reading the next one.

8. You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

I would list out all the reasons I can’t lend them my book as politely as I can. I would tell them politely that they could borrow this same book with this same cover from their nearest public library.

9. There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

I would buy 5-10 books if money and my schedule allow enough time for reading. (but there are chances I would buy more than this, 5-10 is just an approximation)

10.After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

It depend totally on my free time once again. It could sit there anywhere from one day to a week to one month. It would be too difficult to provide a more specific approximation.

The wonderful bloggers I’m tagging

All you need to know

■ And you!

We have reached the very end of this post my dear reader. I had so much fun doing this tag. I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. I would see you soon in another post! Thanks for reading.

Would you rather read a book with terrible writing but a good story OR a book with a terrible story but good writing? Let’s talk in the comments.

Escape: A Poem

Hundred thoughts here and there
My feelings now more and more rare
She walked and talked it not fair
Talking aloud she didn’t dare

“They followed me,” the boy then cried
His tears went away but never they dried
He begged her “Please do try.”
But she shooed him away, he then sighed

The villians are not just in fairy tales
They are everywhere don’t you fail
She watched them and their every sails
But he had gotten away from the trails

We should escape before they see
Our life would be useless, don’t you see
The boat is waiting for you and me
We just have to get away from here free

The boy packed his songs and toys too
She took her pens and notes now two
They looked here and there to sew
All the faces that would cry when they flew

The old man: A Poem

There again is the old man under the tree
If I told him his life was a misery, he would agree
He had wished he was like the other old men in the street
But nobody said anything even for a simple greet

He once had wishes to go abroad on a ship
But soon all ships stopped and his destiny flipped
He looked down at the pond and cold water he sipped
Even his nephews hated him and his long-lost script

He sat under the tree praying for his end to come
He wanted nothing more than to disappear like Jem
All his old buckled-up dreams came back to haunt
But he always told them he couldn’t be taunt

Years and years passed and his script was gone
All people seemed to forget the old man and his tone
All his nephews were soon settled abroad
But his little song hung in the air, sang to every newborn

Dreamless: A poem

My dreams have faded
All wishes now shaded
Faraway lands now invaded
My feelings are all now tainted

Where are the things I seeked?
Life is becoming meaningless to me
I can’t even see the future, you see
I am trying to see myself free

Everyone is abandoning me now
I don’t think about anyone low
Everything is telling me to row
But I don’t think I am worthy, you know

Life is becoming a heartless shell
I am hiding inside afraid to fell
I ask, why can’t I move ahead?
From all the things that are now dead

Right by the shore: A Poem

There I stood lonely by the shore
My sadness hidden waiting for more
I walked and walked but there came no doors
Mad just mad turning me more sore

Calling and calling but nobody is near
Watched the sky and my heart froze to fear
Trees all around but no light to tear
The darkness it bought and no horse my dear

The sky is dark and he isn’t coming
The halos they bought has made me cunning
I waited and waited for the horse to start playing
But the sky made sure nobody is flying

His promises are broken and no queen came
The sad boy cried now no fame
The mad woman lied and said we are now same
But then he appeared out of the flames

The land of dream and nightmare

Sleep lingered in my eyes and I slowly gave in to its calls. The dark shadows inside my head walked me down the path to sleep and I was soon asleep. The darkness slowly led me down a valley, and soon I found myself waiting at the entrance to the land of dreams. I found myself hoping the guardian would let me in, but he never came. I was about to walk away from the gate altogether when I saw another entrance opening up. I noticed that the huge brown door had an air of sadness around it, but nevertheless I found myself walking towards it.

A small voice inside my head told me not to go toward it, but there was another loud voice demanding I should keep walking. The curiosity of what lies inside the entrance was what kept me walking forward. Step by step I was soon in front of it. I regretted not having taken a second thought before stepping inside as I felt a shadow of darkness wrapping itself around me. I closed my eyes and a shiver ran down my spine as I realized with a start where I was. I realized I was in the land of nightmares.

I wrote a poem: A poem

I wrote a poem from red spilled blood
And my words became tears secretly shed
My sadness turned more bitter as they fed
On my heart’s secrets and fell down dead

My thoughts laid down on lies and slowly soaked
For they knew I had a mind kept well locked
I whispered the tunes but they returned to mock
As I was only a girl hidden beneath the rocks

I walked through the woods and caught my words
My voice and my songs whispered and heard
I danced again as the universe once more turned
While my story disappeared all more learned

New world: A Poem

Crowns wishing to be taken
Kingdoms begging to be shaken
A queen’s views now questioned
Kings waiting to be unquestioned

Rich now using the poor
A city using its flower
A girl crying for her tower
Old rules breaking more slower

Glories once more forgotten
Empires crumbling like once plotted
Orphans are no longer sorted
The kingdoms are now to be floated

A rich land is now more richer
A poor land is now more poorer
A few plans now becoming clearer
We watch as truth become more dearer
